Description of Services: 

RST HIGHER EDUCATION SERVICES

The RST Education Department offers higher education program services to all tribal members.  Enrolled tribal citizens are eligible to apply for the Higher Education Scholarship for undergraduate level studies to obtain a four year accredited college or university.  

 

We also provide assistance for ACT fees, application fees, housing fees, book fees and other fees related to higher education.  Our Higher Education Coordinator is available for career guidance and assistance for all tribal citizens requesting information related to higher education. For additional information call our Higher Education office to visit or set up an appointment.

Description of Services: 

The Lakota Tiwahe Center provides Early Intervention Services to families of infants and toddlers (Birth-5 year olds) with developmental delays and/or disabilities. 

The Lakota Tiwahe Center  provides services in four areas:

  • Child Find for Early Identification

  • Developmental Screening/Evaluation

  • Parent Training

  • Early Intervention Services

Description of Services: 

The Education Department provides education assistance for school-ages students and their families to help defray cost related to student educational needs.  This service is funded with the RST Casino funds as available.  Funding is allocated one time per semester and may consist of the following requests with verifying documents;

 

 Application/Program fees, ACT and other testing fees, family services, luggage fees for boarding school students, travel assistance, tuition, books, supplies; and other special needs.

 

 Gas vouchers for transportation assistance to educational facilities off the reservation to include Job Corp and Airport are available during the school year.

Description of Services: 

Through this Project, we are able to work closely with students , families and the schools to address the issues preventing them from learning and obtaining their education.  Services include the following:

 

  • Assist families with attendance issues and school retention

  • Collaborate with tribal and local agencies

  • Explore alternative placements

Description of Services:​

The Sapa Un Catholic Academy, is St Francis Mission’s Faith- based, Dual Language School on the Rosebud Reservation. We are now accepting applications for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade for the 2021-2022 school year. Students of all religious backgrounds are welcome!

 

Students enjoy a small class size of 10- 12 students, an experienced, caring and qualified staff, fresh nutritious meals, and low tuition fees with scholarships available. We offer cultural opportunities in Lakota language and culture. Our students also engage in cooperative learning.​

Wakanyeja Tokeyahci (WT) is a Lakota immersion school for elementary school. The school is located in Mission and is run by Sicangu CDC. WT focuses on Indigenous identity, Lakota language, and holistic development while maintaining rigorous academic standards.
