Welcome to the Official Site of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe

Cante waste nape ciyuzapi yelo! [We] shake your hand with a good heart!

As a guest of the Sicangu-Lakota Oyate, you will find a rich culture and heritage. The Sicangu Oyate or Burnt Thigh Nation roamed and hunted the Great Plains of North America for centuries. Today, we remain on the beautiful Rosebud Indian Reservation, in the heart of the Great Sioux Nation, located in south-central South Dakota. Breathtaking canyons, rolling hills, timberland, colorful community celebrations and seasonal rodeos greet travelers to this area.
