SD Congressman Dusty Johnson Visits Rosebud

South Dakota U.S. Congressman Dusty Johnson came to the Rosebud Sioux Tribe on Friday, February 9th, 2024.

RST Communications caught up to him in Mission, where he visited Rosebud Building Products and met Elle and Serena Harmon and discussed the scarcity of hardware stores in our area.

He then made his way over to the Rosebud Wellness Center, located at the Diabetes Prevention Program, to meet with Marc Marshall and Connie Brushbreaker. He went on a tour of the facility and later sat down to discuss their work with diabetic patients in need of a healthier lifestyle, glucose monitors and adequate health care.

After leaving the wellness center, he met with a few Tribal officers and Council representatives at Council Chambers and was gifted a starquilt.

We'd like to thank Congressman Johnson for visiting RST today and for his continued efforts in advocating for Indian Country.
